Chabad of Northeast Queens STREAM Tamim Academy is a vibrant, forward-thinking educational institution affiliated with the New York City Department of Education, offering a 3K for All and Universal PreK program. Our unique curriculum blends the finest practices of Reggio and Montessori methodologies, complemented by responsive behavior management strategies, project-based learning, and a child-centered educational approach. Position Summary:
As the Early Childhood Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing our early childhood classrooms, providing guidance and support to our dedicated staff, ensuring ongoing professional development, and maintaining open lines of communication with the parent body.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the early childhood program
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum in line with our educational philosophy
  • Support and mentor teaching staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
  • Ensure staff compliance with New York City Department of Education standards by providing guidance, resources, and support to maintain high-quality educational practices
  • Organize and lead professional development initiatives and training for staff members
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with parents, ensuring ongoing communication and addressing any concerns promptly
  • Ensure compliance with local and state licensing requirements and regulations
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the program to ensure a high-quality educational experience for all children

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in early childhood education, with a focus on Reggio and Montessori methodologies
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of child-centered educational approaches and responsive behavior management strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proven track record as a team player and collaborator in a diverse work environment
  • Knowledge of local and state regulations pertaining to early childhood education programs
